Proud..

It doesnt happen to me often..
to feel proud of my creations..
Dont let me be misunderstood though..
I dont
mean I dont love my creations..I do..
I love each and every little piece I ve created..
simple or intricate.large or small..
because each piece was made with
extra care, love and joy..

BUT............................
there are times, itsy bitsy moments
when looking at a piece I have JUST created,
makes me smile with PRIDE....

This ring below made me smile..
with pride....
and will certainly create a new
SilverLinesJewelry Collection:D

It's Been a While

Since my last post *cough* yeah, I know..
I totally neglect my blog..

BUT, here I am now..

The last 4 weeks have been a rhapsody
to pain..appointments with the dentist
and then the orthodontist and vice
versa..the braces are finally on, and
have filled my days with pain..
until now that is..this feeling is supposed
to go away in 2 days, so I wait and wait..

Anyway, the new job is going pretty well,
I have FINALLY found some peace, and
some time to rest, and some time
to spend with my loved ones...things
that were nearly impossible with
my previous job where I had to work 6 days
a week, with night shifts, working
on holidays and Sundays and and and..
BUT all of that is in the past right now..

So, I made a few things and here
they are!

*Scrap Sterling silver melted in a pendant ;) *

*Gorgeous Chrysoprase with Sterling silver*

*Snake Goddess with lots of Silver and a Garnet cabochon*

*Beautiful Owyhee Jasper earrings*

AND last, but surely NOT LEAST a Bracelet
handcrafted by SCRATCH! YES, I made the chain!!!!!!!

Voila!

Sunbeams...

On winter days I pray for sunbeams to make
their way through my window...
their journey is long through secret paths,
dark clouds and trees..and once they appear,
they fill my heart with joy..
like a sweet smile on a sad day,
like a warm hug from someone I love..

How Colour Influences My Work

A couple of my dearest artists (check out their blog)
are having
a talk regarding how colour influences
their work..

So I started thinking..How does colour
influence my work?
How does colour influence my mood?

Well...the answer is : A LOT!

The colour of the stones laying
on my work bench really influences
the final design...Looking at the
colour of the stone I start thinking
which shape, which metal would
make the stone's colour pop!
It sort of "decides" for me what
I 'm going to use..will lt be silver?
Or Brass?Or maybe Copper?

I also tend to choose stones
basing on their colour..I mean, I really
have to like the colour of the stone..
At times, it needs to be vivid, and other
times I prefer stones with a more
subtle,pale tone..

Colour influences my mood too..
My room needs to be painted
with colours I love..like blue, or grey,
or purple, or fuchsia..

Of course colour is not the only thing that
influences my work..nature gives
me a whole bunch of ideas..
even buildings.. ;)

Trying to cope..

with recent changes in my life...
Some good, some not so good...
But, hey..c'est la vie, right?

Anyway, some of the good news, is
I finally quit my job!
Oh yes I did!!!and it feels
goooooood! It feels a little
weird too though, I mean now I need
to get used to new colleagues, a whole
different job environment, new people
new objective, new,new,new..
Oh wait!It might be a good new, right???
I sure hope so..

And the other news, is the not-so-good kinda
news..but I ll get to this at another blog post..

Anyway, feeling strangely happy,
I ve made some stuff which I post here today..

I sure hope you like them..

Moving...and renovating..

So, I may have not mentioned before,
but we, my fiance and I, have decided
to move..for a lot of reasons..
Mainly, because paying a 300euro rent
a month is now too much to handle..

So, we will move to our own smallish
apartment..which is old, BUT its
ours..

Old means, it needs quite alot
of renovating..which means A LOT
of sanding walls, sanding floors,
painting walls, painting floors,
painting closets, painting,spackling,sanding..

These are some aspects of our
bedroom...a bit..hum..ugly huh?

Well, I will post here photos of
ugly Before..and hopefully beautiful After..

Wish me luck!

Easy Cheese Pie-Bread

I am a big fan of cheese and cheesepies...
If you are a fan of Greek Feta cheese you
will love this easy recipe!
The result is like a cheese-pie-bread..

INGREDIENTS

2 EGGS
2 GLASSES OF FLOUR
2 GLASSES OF FRESH MILK
400GRM OF GREEK FETA CHEESE
5 MUSHROOMS
1 GREEN PEPPER
salt
pepper
oregano

Beat the eggs, the flour, the milk
the oregano and the salt.
The dough will not be sticky or thick.

Cut the Feta cheese and the rest
of the ingredients in small pieces.

Place the 1st mixture on a greased pan
of approximately 30cm/12in or smaller.
Preheat the oven at 170C/338F
and bake for about 50min..

Enjoy!
